Admission to New World School of the Arts is determined by a performance audition or a portfolio review. For detailed information, see the audition requirements for each division. Students may audition for more than one division, though the course of study is limited to one.

  • Current NWSA high school applications are available November 1st through January 14th from M-DCPS middle school arts teachers & counselors. For more information call 305.237.3135.
  • NWSA students are subject to the academic policies set forth by Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Sophomores, Juniors, and Senior earn dual-enrollment college credits awarded by authority of Miami Dade College.
  • New World School of the Arts High School is a Miami-Dade County Public School and coordinates is programs with the Office of School Choice and Parental Options/Magnet & Innovative Programs. For more information, please contact us at: 305.237.3148

Enrollment Process for NWSA High School Students

  1. submission of current NWSA high school application by January 15 deadline
  2. Audition or portfolio review.
  3. NWSA recommendation for admission.
  4. Completion of current grade-level at your school
  5. Florida Residency Statement if appropriate
  6. Official school transcripts for private school or out of county applicants.

  • The online audition applications found within the Online Forms section are made available to you for preview only. DO NOT submit these forms. See item two under Enrollment Process above to find out how obtain an "official" application.

Audition Requirements
  • Each arts division has specific requirements for the audtion. You can learn more about these requirements below and at the Audition Workshops.

Audition Workshops
  • Audition workshops on the audition process are held on campus in November and December. Determine the workshop dates in each division's audition section.

Auditions
  • Auditions are held mid-January through February.
  • Applicants will receive an audition appointment letter between mid-January and mid-February.
  • Visit each arts division to see their audition requirements and dates.
