New World School of the Arts’ Medium: Faculty Exhibition opens the season with over twenty artworks by NWSA visual arts faculty.
MIAMI---The New World School of the Arts visual arts faculty demonstrate their vision as they showcase a varied collection of works. Curated by NWSA Dean of Visual Arts Maggy Cuesta, Medium: Faculty exhibition, the first of the season, features over twenty artworks representing created by the faculty at NWSA and represents the various disciplines in visual arts and the diverse community within the division. Medium: Faculty Exhibition - Opening Reception: Thursday, August 30, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. New World Gallery, 25 NE 2nd Street, downtown, Miami.
Exhibition is free and open to the public from August 30 – September 20, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, New World Gallery.
Among the work featured, guests will have an opportunity to experience and share with the artist’s explorations depicting typography as art, combined mediums in painting, and the use of glass in unique solutions. Large format photography is also explored in an interesting contrast to traditional black and white photography.
New World School of the Arts was created by the Florida Legislature as a center of excellence in the performing and visual arts, is an educational partnership of Miami Dade County Public Schools, Miami Dade College and the University of Florida.
