Admission to New World School of the Arts is determined by a performance audition or a portfolio review. For detailed information, see the audition requirements for each division. Students may audition for more than one division, though the course of study is limited to one.

New World high school applications are available October 1st through January 15th at this website. Only currently enrolled eighth and ninth graders can apply.

New World School of the Arts High School is a Miami-Dade County Public School and coordinates is programs with the Office of School Choice and Parental Options/Magnet & Innovative Programs. New World is accredited for academic and arts curriculum by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools for Grades 9 12.

In their arts classes, New World sophomores, juniors, and seniors earn dual-enrollment college credits awarded by authority of Miami Dade College. The school day consists of five hours of academic classes and three hours of arts instruction. New World offers Advanced Placement courses in all subject areas. NWSA students are subject to the academic policies set forth by Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Enrolled students must be residents of Miami-Dade County. For more information call 305.237.3148.

Audition Workshops
Audition workshops on the audition process are held on campus in November and December. See each division's audition section to determine the workshop dates.

Auditions
Auditions are held mid-January through February. Applicants can view their audition appointment by returning to the Audition Application page beginning January 7th. Visit each arts division page to see their specific audition requirements.
