Major Group Exhibit Showcasing Visual Arts Achievements of 27 New World School of the Arts College Seniors to Highlight BFA Artworks April 5 - April 25 at Miami’s Freedom Tower Gallery
MIAMI --- A major exhibit that will showcase the extraordinary work of 27 college seniors representing the Visual Arts Division of New World School of the Arts, will be presented to the public, Thursday, April 5 through Wednesday, April 25, at the Freedom Tower, 600 Biscayne Blvd. The opening reception, Thursday, April 5, from 6-9 P.M., will be hosted by The Terra Group which is providing the space for the use of the Gallery.
Curated by NWSA Visual Arts Dean Maggy Cuesta and New World’s Senior Project faculty member Fred Snitzer, the extensive exhibition will showcase over 50 works of art covering the entire spectrum of the seven disciplines including drawing, electronic intermedia, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. Forward-thinking and exciting, the show is anticipated to illustrate the adventurous and diverse climate of NWSA BFA students whose work will be viewed as frequently challenging stylistic boundaries.
In addition to The Terra Group, the opening reception will be hosted by Bacardi and Books and Books who are providing the evening’s refreshments.
Gallery hours at the Freedom Tower are Monday – Friday, 12:00 noon – 5:00 PM from April 5 – April 25, 2007. Admission to the Gallery is Free.
New World School of the Arts (NWSA) was created by the Florida Legislature as a center of excellence in the performing and visual arts, is an educational partnership of Miami Dade County Public Schools, Miami Dade College and the University of Florida.
