MIAMI--- A group exhibition by the BFA graduates at New World School of the Arts will be presented, announced Maggy Cuesta - dean of the visual arts division at the famed school, from Saturday, March 14 to Sunday, April 5 at CIFO (Cisneros Fontanal Art Foundation). Thursday – Sunday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. CIFO is located at 1018 North Miami Avenue, Wynwood. The free exhibition will launch with a wine and cheese reception on March 14 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

With 22 participating visual artists that reflect the multicultural landscape and vastly diverse backgrounds present in our city, the exhibition demonstrates the diversity population that makes up New World School of the Arts. Exhibiting students, natives of Mexico, Colombia, Japan, Cuba, Venezuela and the US, use their body of work as the visual representation of each of their lives. Showcased specialties include photography, sculpture, film, video, ceramics, painting, design and drawing.
 
Exhibiting artists include: Cattia Antezana, Miranda Adria, Jonathan Au, Nathalie Bernaudo, Zachary Balber, Raquel Figueroa, Gustavo Cervantes, Lisette Gonzalez, David Garcia, Kirkland Hyman, Masataka Kagawa, Female King, Michelle E. Kuperman, Pedro Sarmiento, Jordan Service, Sussy Taveras, Danny Tello, Lisa Torske, Frida Thors, Jessica Ujaque, Jaric Urbaez, Tatiana Vahan.

Through its gifted, emerging artists and unique programs, New World School of the Arts has become an educational and creative beacon of the arts. Trained by nationally renowned practicing artists, students are encouraged to develop a personal, artistic and aesthetic vision while mastering their own technical skills in traditional and new media. Areas of concentration for students seeking a BFA degree in the visual arts include drawing, electronic media, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.

New World School of the Arts was created by the Florida Legislature as a center of excellence in the performing and visual arts and it is an educational partnership of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami Dade College and the University of Florida.
