Rita is a skilled accountant with twenty-five years of experience in public, private and internal accounting and taxation. Rita has managed the New World School of the Arts operating budget and foundation accounts since 2007. She has served Miami Dade College by holding positions as Assistant to the Dean of Academic Affairs and Program Manager for Continuing Education as well as Adjunct Professor of Accounting and Taxation. These positions have provided her with a breadth of knowledge of the Academic functions as well as the financial functions of MDC and NWSA She has also held positions both in public accounting for BDO Siedman and for private companies such as Bacardi, USA. Rita speaks three languages English, Spanish and French and holds a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Florida International University as well as two Bachelor degrees – one in Accounting and the other in International Business with a double major, also from FIU.
