Thank you for your application to New World School of the Arts Visual Arts Division. All applications and portfolios have been reviewed by the visual arts faculty and Dean. Due to the current circumstances with Coronavirus COVID-19, we will not be conducting interviews this year. Acceptance decisions for the academic year 2020 - 2021 have been made and notification letters have been sent via electronic mail.
Visual Arts Portfolio Review Requirements
The complete application packet must be submitted on-line.
Submissions should be made at https://nwsacollege.org/application/
PORTFOLIOS MUST BE SUBMITTED ONLINE, THE REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
- FIVE observational drawings/figure drawings
- FIVE pieces that represent the applicant's interest in their desired major: Drawing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, or Sculpture.
- TEN pieces of personal work that reveal the applicant's creative spirit, sense of design, technical skill and experimentation.
Once digital portfolios are reviewed, NWSA will contact those students that have been recommended by the faculty to move forward in the acceptance process. At this time you will be asked to schedule a personal interview. Original artwork is required and a sketchbook is recommended.
Portfolio interviews are required of candidates residing in South Florida. Candidates who apply from outside South Florida will be required to have a phone interview.
