Felicia Kurtz is a graduate of the University of Michigan holding degrees in Voice Performance and Choral Music Education. Her professional performance experience ranges from opera to musical theater, including both cabaret and jazz venues. She has performed leading roles in over twenty opera and musical productions both here in the United States and abroad. Ms. Kurtz has appeared in the Las Palmas Opera Festival under the direction of Tito Capobianco and Theo Alcantara. In addition to her many international performances, she has also appeared nationally with Gustav Meier, Ralph Herbert and others. She was also the understudy for Cleo Laine, performing in Kurt Weill’s ‘Seven Deadly Sins’. Ms. Kurtz is a much sought after clinician, educator, director and adjudicator and is a college consultant holding master classes and audition workshops as well as recitals across the country. Ms. Kurtz is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), and has maintained a private voice studio since 1980. She has been a member of the adjunct faculty at New World since 2000 teaching private voice, music theory and class piano. Ms. Kurtz is also a facilitator at the University of Miami Frost School of Music Young Musician’s Camp holding master classes in vocal technique and audition technique as well as director of musical theater workshops.
