Student Government Association (SGA)

The New World School of the Arts Student Government Association exists to represent and communicate the interests of the Student Body. SGA advocates for student issues and improvements at the college. In addition, SGA works with the Student Services department to maintain and improve student life by planning and executing events and volunteer outings to promote interaction between students in all four divisions. SGA meets bi-monthly where all students are invited to discuss issues affecting the school.

Student Leadership

Student leaders serve as a welcome committee for incoming Freshman and Transfer students, and their families during orientation week. Leaders are assigned a group of approximately ten (10) students at orientation and maintain a relationship with them throughout the Fall semester. Leaders offer new students insights into the academic and social life at college, and introduce them to activities and events on campus. The main goal of this program is to help new students make a smooth transition into college life.
